Calgary Fire Department responds to reports of burning school busses

At approximated 3:15 this morning the Calgary Fire Department responded to 114 AVE and 66 ST NE to investigate reports of burning school buses. Upon arrival, crews found six busses engulfed in flames. The Captain immediately called for a water tender to supply additional water to help douse the flames.

The crews managed to extinguish all six busses however, all sustain major damage. Firefighters confirmed that all of the damaged busses were previously decommissioned so there will be no impact on student transportation. There were no reports of injuries and a fire Investigator is on scene. Traffic in the area is unaffected.
