Break-in at Charitable Organization

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a recent break-in at a charitable organization.

At approximately 6:20 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, three people forced their way into the Women In Need Society (WINS) location at 3525 26 Ave. S.E., by prying open a man door. Once inside, the offenders entered several offices and stole a safe, as well as cash and keys to other WINS buildings.

The next day, at approximately 5 a.m., the WINS thrift store at 6432 Bowness Rd. N.W., was broken into using the keys stolen from the safe. Nothing was taken during the break in.

About an hour later, another WINS location at 2907 Richmond Rd. S.W., was also illegally entered using keys taken from the initial incident. Cash was taken from this location.

The suspects in all three cases are believed to be the same.

The first suspect is Caucasian, approximately 5’4” tall. The person was wearing a grey hoodie, a black bandana over their face, black sweatpants with three white stripes down the side, black shoes and black-and-white gloves.

The second suspect is Caucasian, approximately 6’ tall. The person was wearing a blue, black and grey winter jacket with the hood up, a black bandana covering their face, grey pants, black gloves and black shoes.

The third suspect is Caucasian, approximately 6’ tall, wearing a black jacket with a grey hoodie with the hood up, a black balaclava covering their face, blue jeans and grey shoes.
