Man charged in relation to the suspicious death of Shakira BEARSPAW

Our Homicide Unit has charged one person in connection with the suspicious death of a woman whose body was located near Cremona, Alberta.

On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, our Homicide Unit was notified of a deceased woman found near the village of Cremona.

An autopsy completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the victim as 21-year-old Shakira BEARSPAW, of Calgary.

The investigation in the victim’s cause and manner of death remains ongoing.

On Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, police arrested one man in the 500 block of 40 Avenue N.W. 

Spencer STOLK, 37, has been charged with indignity to a human body. He will next appear in court today, Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026.

The investigation remains ongoing.
