Single Vehicle Collision Westbound Stoney Trail by Macleod Tr

On March 10^th 2014, at approximately 10:50 PM, a single vehicle collision occurred westbound Stoney Trail approaching the exit ramps to Macleod Trail. A Red Saturn Ion went off the road to the right and struck several large pieces of asphalt debris piled near a street light. Striking the debris caused the vehicle to roll over, but it came to rest on its wheels. The driver a 29 year old female received serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EMS.

Several pieces of the debris were scattered onto the roadway and needed to be cleaned up before the roadway could be re-opened.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
