Fire Crews Battle Nose Hill Grass Fire

This afternoon, for the second time in the last few days, Calgary Fire Department crews battled a stubborn grass fire in Nose Hill Park. The fire was seated in thick brush and found it's way beyond the area due to the high wind conditions. Crews currently have the fire under control and are searching the area for hot spots.
The Calgary Fire Department would like to remind Calgarians to properly dispose of smoking materials and carefully monitor  the use of backyard fire pits and to be aware of the dangers associated with the current dry weather conditions and the increased risk of grass fires.
