Calgary Firefighters Respond to Building Fire in South East

Just after 08:00 pm this evening firefighters were called for a report of a building fire on the 3800 block of 16 street se. As crews arrived thick black smoke was seen venting from the building from around the overhead doors. Firefighters entered the building and with the use of thermal imaging cameras, were able to locate and extingish a forklift that was burning. As the remainder of the building was seached it was notice that raidiant heat had cause some addition spot fires in the area. Smoke was vented out of the building using high volumn fans and the spot fires were then put out. Crews remain on scene overhauling the structure. Fire investigators are on scene to deturmine the cause of the blaze. No injuries have been reported.
