City of Calgary postpones some Street Sweeping operations on Tuesday, April 16, 2024

On Tuesday April 16, 2024 The City of Calgary is announcing the postponement of some scheduled residential street sweeping operations due to an ongoing snow event. Accumulating snow and ice can create challenges for our sweeping equipment.

Scheduled sweeping in communities of Citadel (West), Legacy, Coventry Hills (North and East portions) has been postponed today. The streets that were not completed within these communities will have their sweeping dates rescheduled to June 2024. Updated sweeping schedules for affected communities will be posted on Calgary.ca/sweep within 24 hours.

Scheduled sweeping continues as scheduled today in communities of Rosedale, Crescent Heights Avenues, Castleridge (south), Westwinds, Capitol Hill, Rosemont, Southview, Woodbine, Meadowlark Park, Mayfair, Belaire.

The City may also revisit communities affected by the snow today to ensure sweeping completed during the snowfall meets our standards for completion.

Citywide sweeping is expected to continue, as scheduled, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Citizens can find out when their street is scheduled for sweeping by visiting Calgary.ca/sweep and using our address lookup or signing up for notifications. Sweeping that is rescheduled due to the weather will be scheduled to a later date in June 2024. We encourage citizens to sign up for street sweeping notifications at Calgary.ca/sweep.
