Getting around
Calgary Transit
Over the Easter long weekend, Calgary Transit will have adjusted service hours. Use the trip planner to see when your bus is running.
On Friday, March 29, Calgary Transit will be operating buses, CTrains and On Demand on a Sunday level of service. For more information on fares, schedules and service changes, please visit calgarytransit.com.
Calgary Parking
Enjoy free parking in on-street ParkPlus zones on March 29, March 31 and April 1. Weekend rates apply at all Calgary Parking parkades and surface lots on Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1. Please note that regular rates will be in effect at partner lots such as TELUS Spark, University District, Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park.
The Calgary Parking Contact Centre and Impound Lot will be closed on March 29 and March 31. For more information, please visit Calgary Parking.
Road closures
Reminder: lane closure on 4 Avenue Flyover rehabilitation begins Tuesday, April 2 to Friday, April 5 – Single lane closures will be in place on the Flyover, outside of the morning and afternoon rush hours, to conduct pre-construction site surveys. More information is available here.

Public skating
Public skating will be offered on Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31, from 1 to 2:15 p.m. at:
- Southland Leisure Centre (2000 Southland Drive S.W.) — Regular admission applies.
- Stew Hendry Arena (814 13 Avenue N.E.) — Free.
Check our arena rules before joining us. Equipment rentals are not available. Regular admission applied.
Public swimming
Paid public swimming will be offered on Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at:
- Village Square Leisure Centre (2623 56 St. N.E.)
- Southland Leisure Centre (2000 Southland Drive S.W.)

Easter weekend hours of operation
The following will be closed on Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31
- All indoor pools, fitness centres and arenas (except for public swimming at Village Square Leisure Centre, public swimming and skating at Southland Leisure Centre and skating at Stew Hendry Arena, see above section.)
- Wildflower and North Mount Pleasant Arts centres,
- Calgary Soccer Centre
Regular hours of operation will be in effect on Saturday, March 30 and Monday, April 1.
