Update for haulers

Effective immediately, the emergency dumping facility for mud, solid and slurry cleanup at Highfield/Bonnybrook Snow Dump Site located at 1320 50 Avenue SE is closed.

All flood related haulers should proceed to 5353 94 Ave SE for decanting of their loads.

Disposal of flood related solids with the exception of sewage, should be disposed at Shepherd Landfill, 12111 68 St. SE. Landfill hours are as follows: July 5 to July 7, 2013, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Beginning Monday July 8, 2013, normal hours apply.

City landfills will not charge for disposal of flood damaged materials until further notice.

If loads are known to contain hydrocarbons but no sewage, they should be taken the Newalta site at 9611 44 Street SE. Septage haulers should dispose of their loads at Pine Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Regular fees and hours apply.

Fats, oils and grease disposal has resumed at Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant.
