Robbery suspect charged

The Calgary Police Service has arrested and charged a man in connection with two recent bank robberies.

At approximately 11:50 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, a man entered the CIBC located in the 2300 block of Centre Street N.E., and presented a robbery note. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the scene.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, a man entered the CIBC located in the 10000 block of Southport Road S.W., and presented a robbery note. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the scene.

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, Darrel Allan LANG, 49, of Calgary was arrested and charged with two counts of robbery.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016.
