Ring in 2014 with fun activities for everyone on New Year’s Eve

Calgarians are invited to bring in the New Year with fun, family-friendly events hosted by The City of Calgary Recreation.

1.) FREE New Year's Eve Family Dance Party and kids’ countdown at the Municipal Atrium (City Hall) at 9 p.m.

Dress in white, neon or anything that glows in the dark. Enjoy a vast array of indoor and outdoor activities including a people-powered light show, ice skating, crafts, fire spinners, photo frames, an inflatable maze, and, of course, dancing!

2.) New Year's Eve Family Pool Party at Village Square Leisure Centre from 4:30-6 p.m.

While the DJ spins his tracks, families can enjoy the wave pool, inflatable toys, arts, crafts, treats, prizes, and much more. Regular admission applies.

“I am looking forward to spending a fun recreational evening with Calgary families as we say farewell to 2013,” says Heather Cowie, Business Services Manager with Recreation. “Last year’s event was amazing and it felt like our own Disneyland was happening right at City Hall. Join us as we dance, play and count down our way to 2014!”

Transit is free on Tuesday, December 31, starting at 6 p.m.
