Richmond Green Golf Course re-opens Friday, May 31

The City of Calgary is pleased to announce that Richmond Green Golf Course will be “back in the swing of things” with its re-opening set for this Friday, May 31.
This long-time family favourite golf course was closed in 2012 to accommodate the construction of a new pumping station, located between the No. 4 and No. 6 fairways.

“We are excited that Richmond Green will be opening as it is much loved with affordable rates especially for families,” said April Tanner, Marketing Advisor with Golf Course Operations.

Located in Calgary’s South West, Richmond Green Golf Course is also known as the home of ‘family golf.’  The easy to play 9-hole par 3 course is suited to the beginner player, but is also a good choice for the expert players wanting to improve their short game.  The course also offers free golf for Juniors during Take a Kid to the Course week July 8-15.

When the course opens, 6 of 9 holes will be ready for play – for only $10! For the safety of customers and contractors during June and July, the course will be operating on Holes 1-3 and 7-9.  The modified play is because of the final phases of construction and landscaping taking place immediately surrounding the pumping station.  All 9 holes are projected to open August 1.

Tee it up and try it out, there’s more than your score with The City of Calgary Golf Courses.
