Reminders for public planning on attending Ralph Klein Memorial event

On Friday, April 5, The City of Calgary will host a Celebration of Life for Ralph Klein at the EPCOR Centre’s Jack Singer Concert Hall. This event will be open to the public on a first-come first-served basis.
 
Citizens are encouraged to take part in this event by attending the Celebration of Life at the Jack Singer Concert Hall or at one of the two stops along the funeral procession at McDougall Centre and Municipal Plaza.
 
The official Celebration of Life ceremony at the Jack Singer Concert Hall will begin at noon. For security reasons, there will be no backpacks or large bags permitted into the Jack Singer Concert Hall. General seating cards will be available to the public beginning at 9 a.m. outside the Jack Singer Concert Hall main entrance. The doors to the venue will open at 10:30 a.m. with citizens seated by 11:15 a.m.
 
The funeral procession will make two stops on its way to the Jack Singer Concert Hall. The procession will stop at McDougall Centre at 11:15 a.m. and the procession will carry on to Municipal Plaza for a presentation from The City of Calgary at 11:25 a.m. Screens will be available at Municipal Plaza to view the Celebration of Life broadcast which will be live on local television stations.
