Remember to vote in the 2013 General Election

Monday, October 21, is your chance to vote for Mayor, Councillor and Public or Separate School Trustee. Voting Stations will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Remember, you must bring authorized identification indicating your name and current address of residence in order to vote.

 

Eligible electors trying to find their voting station and a list of authorized identification for the 2013 General Election have several options.

 

All Calgarians should have received their Calgary General Election Brochure in the mail, which contains information on identification required to vote, lists of candidates, current ward maps and information regarding Voting Station locations.

 

The City’s website (Calgary.ca/election) also features the Election brochure online, a current list of authorized identification along with the “Where do I Vote” form, where Calgarians are able to enter their current address and obtain their Voting Station.

 

Finally, the Election mobile app YYC Vote also provides up-to-date information on the 2013 Election including the “Where do I Vote” form, information on identification and lists of candidates.

 

If electors are unable to leave their home due to injury, illness or disability to vote on Election Day, a special service can be requested to vote at home. An elector can request this service from now until 4 p.m. on Election Day by calling the Election and Information Services office at 403-476-4100 (option 2) or visiting Calgary.ca/election to complete an online request.

 

Mail-in (Special) Ballots must be returned in the envelope provided and received by the Election and Information Services Office no later than 8 p.m. on October 21, 2013.
