Prairie Winds and Variety Spray Parks to remain open into September

Calgary, AB - In response to recent warmer temperatures, The City of Calgary Parks will be extending the availability of two spray parks for citizens to enjoy. Prairie Winds Spray Park located at 223 Castleridge Blvd N.E. and Variety Spray Park located in South Glenmore Park at 90 Ave. and 24 St. S.W. will remain open until Sept. 8.

“Parks understands the value that citizens place on having great outdoor places for our children to play. With the weather forecast predicting warmer temperatures for at least the next week, we’ve made the decision to keep these popular spray parks open so that families can take advantage of them for a little longer,” said Todd Reichardt, Parks Acting Director.

Reichardt says Parks will assess the weather again next week and determine whether the spray parks will remain open even further into September.
