Parking ban completed
Snow clearing operations on Calgary’s major traffic routes have now been completed. As a result, the Snow Route parking ban has been lifted effective 6 a.m., December 6. Snow clearing operations will be ongoing in areas where parking bans are not required.
The City would like to thank citizens for their support and cooperation in keeping Calgary’s roads safe this winter. Snow Route parking bans help us remove the snow from major traffic routes more effectively and start snow clearing residential routes sooner. This benefits all Calgarians and helps make travel safer for everyone during the winter months.
Snow Routes include major roadways, collector roads and most bus routes and are marked by blue signs containing a white snowflake. A map and full list of Snow Route locations is available on Calgary.ca.
The City will issue information on the status of Snow Route parking bans through a number of channels including media advisories. Citizens can sign-up for email alerts, download the new apple application and learn more about this new program by visiting Calgary.ca.
