New classes available in this fall’s recreation program guide
The City of Calgary has added new classes to its Fall Recreation Program Guide to help Calgarians stay active, think creative and have fun. With this year’s fall programs now open for registration Calgarians are being urged to check out what Recreation has to offer.
“Being active is one of the most important things we can do to stay healthy and energized no matter what age we are,” said Michelle Tait, Recreation Supervisor. “The City of Calgary continues to add and update what we offer to ensure there is something for everyone looking to stay active and have fun while doing it.”
Dozens of new programs including Create Your Own Indoor Garden, Yoga – Y.E.S and Conditioning for Dance are being offered this fall, which runs from September to December.
In addition, there are several fun and festive holiday programs to help keep families busy over the holiday break. Parents can register their children in Santa’s Art Workshop or head out to one of 12 arenas to enjoy a public skate.
“Calgarians will be able to build their fitness level in a kickboxing class, discover their sense of rhythm in a belly dance lesson or grab some pool time at one of The City’s leisure centres or indoor pools,” added Tait.
Come participate, there’s more than you think with The City of Calgary Recreation.
The City’s Fall Recreation Program Guide is on stands now and registration starts today. Register online at calgary.ca/recreation or by calling 403-268-3800.
