More options to get out and vote early!

For elector convenience, the Advance Vote for the 2013 General Election will take place October 9-13 and 15-16 and is available to all eligible electors. As a pilot project during the Advance Vote, an Advance Vote bus will be stationed at some LRT stations across the city during peak commuting hours. Eligible electors can vote on the bus with authorized identification at the designated LRT stations while on their commute between 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays.

Returning Officer, Barb Clifford says, “The Advance Vote bus pilot offers another solution for electors without easy access to vehicles and who would find it otherwise challenging to get to their Voting Station on Election Day. It is also another convenient option for voters who are always on the go; electors can make a quick stop at their LRT station and vote while on their commute to work or home.”

While the Advance Vote bus offers another convenient and accessible voting option for Calgary electors, it will also help reduce voting wait times and stress of voting on Election Day.
