Infographic highlights The City’s biggest stories of 2013

The biggest stories of 2013 are being brought back to life through a year in review infographic created by The City of Calgary. ‘2013 – A Community Pulling Together’ highlights many of Calgary’s collective achievements over the past year.

“Cities thrive when we all do our part,” says Mayor Naheed Nenshi, “and Calgarians and public servants proved this well in 2013.”

In addition to the countless volunteers who worked alongside City staff during last June’s flood, Calgarians gave to their city in many ways. Involvement ranged from providing input in City pilot projects such as the green cart program to helping plan future recreation centres.

The year in review infographic highlights numerous examples of how Calgarians worked with The City to make Calgary a better place to live, work and play.

“This past year is full of examples that really show how we can make Calgary better by working together” said Mayor Nenshi.

A digital press kit with the year end infographic has been included and is also available on The City's Newsroom. The press kit includes easy to share cut-outs from the infographic which can be used to support year in review stories for the end of December and 2013.
