How should The City use $52 million? - public engagement ends Sunday

The face-to-face public engagement for The City of Calgary’s $52 million tax room program ends Sunday, June 2 at 12:00 midnight.
This engagement process is part of the public consultation regarding the $52 million tax room which was started on May 16, 2013 by Calgary City Council, with the support of Administration.
The public consultation consists of online and face-to-face opportunities:
  • An overview and explanations of all five options are posted on calgary.ca/52million. Citizens are invited to tell Council what they like and don’t like about each of the five options, or to provide their own ideas.
  • Public consultations in malls in all four quadrants of the city to obtain face-to-face feedback. Here is the schedule for the malls:

  • Citizens can also contact 311 to give their feedback.
  • The public consultation will conclude on June 2, 2013 at 12:00 midnight. Findings will be reported to the Priorities & Finance Committee (PFC) on July 16, 2013 and to City Council on July 22, 2013.
  • Consultation findings will also be posted to calgary.ca/52million, along with Council’s decision.
