Garbage and recycling collection changes continue in some northeast neighbourhoods

Snow drifts in back lanes are still affecting garbage and recycling collection in some northeast communities. Waste & Recycling Services is working with Roads to deal with the situation.

Waste & Recycling Services asks residents of the following communities to move their blue and black carts to the front street for Tuesday collection if their back lane is impassable:

• Martha’s Haven
• Martindale
• Saddleridge and Saddlelake
• Taradale and Taralake

Carts should be placed on the front street at the curb for collection by 7 a.m. and returned to your property by 7 p.m. on your collection day.

Please leave enough space to walk between and around the carts to ensure there’s enough room for the mechanical arms on the collection trucks to work.

If back lanes are passable, Waste & Recycling Services will collect carts from the regular location.
