Fatal 2 vehicle Collision - 1800blk Glenmore Trail SE
On February 8, 2014 at approx. 11:20 hours a 30 year old female operating a westbound black Ford 150 being lost control of the and struck center median and guard rail. The F150 went over the guard rail and struck an eastbound grey Honda Accord. The Honda Accord was being operated by a 66 year old male, with 3 female passengers.
The female operator of the F150 received minor injuries and was transported by EMS to the South Calgary Health Campus.
The male operator of the Accord received critical injuries and was transported by EMS to the Foothills Medical Centre.
A 63 year old female, the front passenger of the Accord, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 22 year old female, a rear passenger, of the Accord received serious injuries and was transported by EMS to the Foothills Medical Centre.
A 5 year old female, a rear passenger, of the Accord received serious injuries and was transported by EMS to the Children’s Hospital.
Road conditions were slippery at the time of this collision. Speed may have contributed to this collision.
