Condo Fire on Pensacola Crescent NE.

Firefighters were called out this evening for a fire in a condominium complex located on the 5400 block of Pensacola Crescent NE just after 7:00 pm. First in crews found smoke coming from one of the units and entered to do a search and attack the fire. A small fire was located in the basement of the unit and quickly extinguished. A search of the home was conducted and was found to be unoccupied. The female child and her Grandmother had noticed the fire and were going to attempt to fight the fire when the child convinced her Grandmother to exit and call for the fire Department. Both left the home uninjured. The fire caused minimal structural damage but there was extensive smoke damage through out the home. The cause is under investigation at this time.
