City Services: Heritage Day 2017
We're adjusting our hours of operation for Heritage Day on Monday, August 7. Here's a list of what you need to know:
Getting around
Calgary Transit
Calgary Transit will provide a Sunday level of service on Monday, Aug. 7. For more information on fares, schedules and service changes visit calgarytransit.com or follow us on Twitter @calgarytransit.
Parking
No payment is required for on-street parking and holiday rates are charged at select surface lots and Calgary Parking Authority parkades (CPA), on Monday, Aug. 7.
Road Closures and Construction
It’s summer construction season; plan ahead to help avoid delays. For real-time information on collisions, road closures for special events and detours visit calgary.ca/trafficinfo, or to find out more about long term construction projects visit calgary.ca/paving.
Heritage Day Activities
Soak up some rays in Calgary’s oldest neighbourhood at the Inglewood Sunfest, sample some ethnic food at the 40th annual Heritage Day Festival or step back in time at Heritage Park. Click here for a complete listing of community events happening in and around our city over the holiday weekend.

Leisure Centres
Both Southland and Village Square Leisure Centres are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7. Regular admission applies.

- The Animal Services Centre

- All Athletic Parks (except for advanced bookings)
- Calgary Soccer Centre (except for advanced bookings)
- All City of Calgary Administrative buildings including City Hall
