City of Calgary taskforce in Sunnyside today

In response to localized flooding that occurred overnight in the community of Sunnyside, The City of Calgary has struck a temporary taskforce to visit residents in the area today. Representatives from Water Services, Calgary Fire Department, Development & Building Approvals, ATCO Gas and Enmax will be going door to door to assess the impact of flooding that was a result of the severe rainfall the evening of July 5, 2013.

 

The City appreciates the residents of Sunnyside were already impacted by flooding a few weeks ago. This effort is to alleviate any setbacks for those working on remedial efforts by expediting the repair and restoration of services as well as address any need for pumping.

 

The City taskforce will be in Sunnyside for the duration of the day today.
