Calgary road closures - November 8, 2013
Southwest
8 Avenue S.W. is closed between 4 Street and 5 Street S.W. due to a gas main leak. The road is expected to re-open on Saturday.
The two left lanes will be closed and speed restricted to 50 km/h on southbound Crowchild Trail at 33 Avenue S.W. from 7 a.m. Saturday, November 9 to 10 p.m. Sunday, November 10 for utility work.
11 Avenue S.W. will be closed from 1 Street S.W. to 2 Street S.W. on Saturday, November 9 from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Westbound traffic is encouraged to take 10 Street S.W.
31 Street S.W. is closed between 19 Avenue S.W. and 21 Avenue S.W. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 for utility work. Local access will be maintained.
10 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 4 Street S.W. and 5 Street S.W. on Saturday, November 9 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. for building construction.
Southeast
There will be multiple lane closures on Northbound Blackfoot Trail at the bridge over Glenmore Trail from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 9 for bridge work. The speed will be reduced to 30 km/h during this time. Alternate routes are recommended as major delays are expected.
11 Street S.E. will be closed between 21 Avenue and 26 Avenue S.E. from 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 9 until 7 p.m. on Monday, November 11 for railway repairs.
64 Avenue S.E. will be closed between 36 Street S.E. and 40 Street S.E. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 for CPR railway crossings repairs. Traffic will be detoured to 61 Avenue S.E. and 70 Avenue S.E. Local business access will be maintained.
The left turn bay will be closed on eastbound and westbound Seton Boulevard S.E. at Seton Way S.E. and on northbound Seton Way S.E. at Seton Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 8.
Northeast
4 Avenue N.E. is closed between 1 Street N.E. and 2 Street N.E. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 7 for utility work.
Northwest
22 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 18 Street and 19 Street N.W. from 7 a.m. on Monday, November 11 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12 for utility work.
72 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 8 Street N.W. and 10 Street N.W from 7 a.m. on November 9 until 7 p.m. on November 10 for utility work.
There will be a new temporary alignment on Country Hills Boulevard at Métis Trail N.W. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 10 and Monday, November 11. Motorists are advised to watch for traffic controls. Speed will be reduced during this time, and delays are expected.
10 Street N.W. is reduced to one lane between 16 Avenue N.W. and 18 Avenue N.W. until 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 10 for utility work.
Bowness Road N.W. will be closed between 47 Street and 48 Street N.W. from 7 p.m. on Friday, November 8 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 10 for roadwork.

4 Street S.W. will be closed between 12 Avenue and 13 Avenue S.W. on Monday, November 11 from 10a.m. to noon.
Cross Project for Fallen Soldiers
Memorial Drive will be closed between the Centre Street lower deck to 3 Street N.W. from 11 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. on Monday, November 11 for a moment of silence in honour of Remembrance Day.
