Calgary road closures - November 29, 2013
Northwest
Eastbound Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane between 9 Street N.W. and 5A Street N.W. from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly beginning Tuesday, November 26 until Saturday, November 30 for utility work.
The right lane on eastbound Memorial Drive east of Crowchild Trail will be closed Saturday, November 30 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate truck traffic delivering materials to a construction site.
22 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 18 Street N.W. and 19 Street N.W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily on Monday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 3 for utility work.
Southwest
4 Street S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 14 Avenue and 17 Avenue until Sunday December 1 at 9 p.m. for utility work. Expect delays.
The intersection at 15 Avenue S.W. and 4 Street S.W. will be closed until Sunday, December 1 at 9 p.m.
The right lane on westbound 17 Avenue S.W. will be closed at 4 Street S.W. on Friday, November 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for utility work.
11 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane between 1 Street S.W. and 2 Street S.W. beginning Saturday, November 30 at 7 a.m. to Sunday, December 1 at noon for utility work.
21 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 2 Street S.W. and 4 Street S.W. beginning Saturday, November 30 to Sunday, December 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Southbound Macleod Trail will be reduced to two lanes at 58 Avenue S.W. beginning Tuesday, December 3 at 8 p.m. to Wednesday, December 4 at 6 a.m. for building construction.
31 Street S.W. will be closed between 19 Avenue S.W. and 21 Avenue S.W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, Wednesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 5 utility work.
Southeast
64 Avenue will be closed between 11 Street S.E. and 12 Street S.E. on Saturday, November 30 until Sunday, December 1 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily for utility work. Parking restrictions are currently in place.
The off-ramp from southbound 52 Street S.E. onto westbound Peigan Trail and the right lane on westbound Peigan Trail west of 52 Street S.E. will be closed on Saturday, November 30 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for construction on the Peigan Trail extension. Traffic affected by the closed ramp will be detoured around the turn island to re-connect with westbound Peigan Trail, with the exception of trucks which will be directed to use 50 Avenue S.E. as a detour. Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market
Speed will be reduced to 50 km/h on Spruce Meadows Trail between Macleod Trail and 53 Street S.W. beginning Friday, November 29 at 9 a.m. to Sunday, December 1 at 7 p.m.
Cenovus Christmas Party
8 Avenue S.E. will be closed between Centre Street and 1 Street S.E. on Saturday, November 30 at 6 p.m. until Sunday, December 1 at 3 a.m.
Alberta Transportation
Southbound Stoney Trail will be reduced to 50 km/h with a right lane closure between Scenic Acres Link and Trans Canada Highway on Friday, November 29 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. At this time the Nose Hill Drive on-ramp will be detoured.
