Calgary road closures - March 24, 2014

Note: Due to the growing number of closures we will be seeing affiliated with construction season all new road closures will be highlighted daily by quadrant.

Northeast

Westbound Airport Trail N.E. will be closed between 19 Street N.E. and Deerfoot Trail N.E. from midnight on Monday, March 24 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25 for sign installation. Eastbound Airport Trail east of Deerfoot Trail will be reduced to one lane during this time, and westbound traffic will be detoured to Country Hills Boulevard N.E.

Northwest

NEW: Bowness Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 64 Street N.W. from 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25 to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26 due to utility work.

14 Street N.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Kensington Road and 2 Avenue N.W. from 9 p.m. on Monday, March 24 to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25 due to utility work.

Bowness Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 60 Street N.W. from 7 p.m. on Monday, March 24 to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25 due to utility work.

Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Crowchild Trail and 16 Street N.W. from Wednesday, March 19 to Thursday, May 15 due to riverbank restoration. On weekdays lane restrictions will be in effect daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on weekends daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Southeast

NEW: The right lane on eastbound 114 Avenue S.E. will be closed at 68 Street S.E. from 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 due to utility work.

Westbound 50 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane between 52 Street S.E. and 43 Street S.E. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from Sunday, March 23 to Tuesday, March 25 due to utility work.

Southwest

NEW: 85 Street S.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 8 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25 due to traffic signal installation.

The right lane on 5 Avenue S.W. will be closed between Centre Street and 1 Street S.W. from 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 22 to Wednesday, April 30. This lane will be used for pedestrians while work is being done on the sidewalk.
