Calgary road closures - March 14, 2014

Northeast

Westbound Airport Trail N.E. will be closed between 19 Street N.E. and Deerfoot Trail N.E. from midnight on Monday, March 24 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25 for sign installation. Eastbound Airport Trail east of Deerfoot Trail will be reduced to one lane during this time, and westbound traffic will be detoured to Country Hills Boulevard N.E.

Northwest

10 Street N.W. will be reduced to one lane in each direction at 3 Avenue N.W. starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 for sign installation.

Centre Street North will be closed between 144 Avenue N.W. and Hwy 566 due to flooding. Northbound traffic will be detoured to 6 Street N.E. and southbound traffic will be detoured to 14 Street N.W. The closure will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and is expected to last until Monday, March 17.

Southeast

6 Avenue S.E. will be closed between 4 Street S.E. and 5 Street S.E. on Tuesday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction.

Northbound Macleod Trail will be reduced to two lanes at Heritage Drive from 9 p.m. until Saturday, March 15 for utility work.

The sidewalk will be closed on the north side of 9 Avenue S.E. between 3 Street S.E. and 4 Street S.E. until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 due to building construction.

A new traffic light was activated on the east side of Macleod Trail at 210 Avenue S.E. on Thursday, March 13. The speed limit along Macleod Trail is reduced to 60 km/h leading up to this location.

Macleod Trail will be reduced to one lane in each direction south of 36 Avenue S.E. starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 for utility repairs. Mission road will also be reduced to one lane in each direction at this intersection during this time.

There will be various lane closures on eastbound and westbound Glenmore Trail between 31 Street S.E. and Barlow Trail from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 17 for road survey work. The speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h during this time.

The right lane will be closed on southbound Ogden Road at 34 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 14. There will be no westbound access to 34 Avenue S.E. during this time as crews will be working at the intersection for water service repairs.

Sunday, March 16 from 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

  • 21 Street S.W. will be closed between 50 Avenue S.W. and 58 Avenue S.W.
  • 19 Street S.W. will be closed between 50 Avenue S.W. and 58 Avenue S.W.
  • Eastbound 50 Avenue S.W. between 20 Street S.W. and 14a Street S.W., will be reduced to one lane.
