2015 Calgary Board of Education By-election: Advance Voting

For elector convenience, the Advance Vote for the 2015 Calgary Board of Education By-election (Wards 11 and 13) will take place on April 2, 7 and 8 and is available to all eligible electors. An Advance Vote bus will be stationed at some LRT stations in Wards 11 and 13 during peak commuting hours. Eligible electors can vote on the bus with authorized identification at the designated LRT stations while on their commute between 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Returning Officer, Barb Clifford says, “The Advance Vote bus offers a convenient option for voters who are always on the go; electors can make a quick stop at their LRT station and vote while on their commute to work or home. It provides another solution for electors without easy access to vehicles and who would find it otherwise challenging to get to their Voting Station on Election Day.”

The Advance Vote bus will be stationed at the following locations:

Thursday, April 2

6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Somerset/Bridlewood Station

3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Shawnessy Station

Tuesday, April 7

6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Chinook Station

3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Heritage Station

Wednesday, April 8

6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

If electors are not interested in voting on the Advance Vote bus, they can still vote during the Advance Vote on April 2, 7 and 8 between noon and 7 p.m. at John Ware School, 10020 19 Street SW.

Eligible electors must show authorized identification with their name and current address of residence in order to vote.

During the Advance Vote period ONLY, blind and visually impaired electors can use a special template to mark their ballots without assistance.
