Calgary road closures - January 24, 2014

Northwest

The left lane on northbound 14 Street N.W. will be closed at 2 Avenue N.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, January 27 due to utility work.

37 Street N.W. will be closed between Bowness Road N.W. and 5 Avenue N.W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from Monday, January 27 to Thursday, January 30 due to utility work.

5 Avenue N.W. will be closed between 7 Street N.W. and 9A Street N.W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily from Tuesday, January 28 to Friday, January 31 due to utility work.

Eastbound Crowchild Trail will be reduced to two lanes at 53 Street N.W. from 11 p.m. on Saturday, January 25 to 6 a.m. on Sunday, January 26 due to Calgary Transit related construction.

Southwest

2 Street S.W. will be closed between 13 Avenue S.W. and 14 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, January 20 to Wednesday, January 29 due to utility work.

8 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 4 Street S.W. and 5 Street S.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, January 24 to 5 a.m. on Monday, January 27 due to building construction

9 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane between 4 Street S.W. and 5 Street S.W. from 6 p.m. on Friday, January 24 to 5 a.m. on Monday, January 27 due to building construction.

Southeast

Westbound 76 Avenue S.E. will be closed between 48 Street S.E. and 51 Street S.E. from 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 25 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 26 due to utility work.

Eastbound 17 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane between 19 Street S.E. and Deerfoot Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, January 20 to Friday, February 14. On Saturdays the lanes will be reduced between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

There will be various lane closures on 53 Avenue between 4 Street S.E. and 6 Street S.E.  At this time 53 Avenue will be reduced to one lane and workers will be directing traffic through alternating westbound and eastbound lane closures from Thursday, January 9 to Saturday, January 25 due to utility work.

5 Street S.E. between 51 Avenue and 53 Avenue S.E. is closed until 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 25 due to utility work. Traffic will be detoured to 4 Street S.E. to bypass the construction. Local business access will be maintained.

The right lane on southbound Bow Bottom Trail north of 146 Avenue S.E. will be closed until 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 26 due to emergency utility work.

9 Avenue S.E. will be reduced to one lane between 4 Street S.W. and 5 Street S.W. from 9 a.m. on Monday, January 27 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 14 due to utility work.

Chinese New Year Celebration

2 Avenue S.W. will be closed east of 2 Street S.W.  from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, January 26.
