Watermain break on 36 Street N.E.at Rundlehorn Drive/20 Avenue N.E.

A watermain break occurred on 36 Street at 20 Avenue/Rundlehorn Drive N.E. on Saturday, August 23. City crews have been working around the clock to address both utility and roadway repairs. 

Northbound 36 Street at 20 Avenue/Rundlehorn Drive N.E. remains closed, with possible intermittent closures in the southbound lane for water valve work. 

Repair work is expected to continue until Wednesday, August 27. This closure will impact weekday commute and rush hour traffic, including transit bus routes. Message boards have been posted at various locations to warn commuters of the closure at this location. Additionally, signal timings have been adjusted to reduce the impact to traffic congestion, and The City's Traffic Management Centre will be monitoring the flow of traffic while this closure remains in place. Delays are expected, and motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes.
