Suspicious death investigation

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in the northwest.

At approximately 9 a.m., today, Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, police were called to reports of a body that had been located in an alleyway in the 400 block of Hendon Drive N.W.

The body is that of a man, but an age is not known at this time.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015. It is anticipated that no further information will be released until after the autopsy.

At this time, this death is not believed to be connected to the recent violence seen in Calgary.
