Snow and Ice Control: Update

The snowfall that occurred last night brought in significant accumulation in various parts of Calgary, such as the downtown core as well as parts of the north, where other communities saw little to no snow. Roads crews are continuing to open roads in the northeast communities and will stay in these communities until the majority of residential roadways have been addressed.

Crews will also begin snow clearing and snow removal along major roadways or Priority 1 routes this week. This is to address the accumulation of snow along the curb and gutter.

Calgarians are advised that despite warmer temperatures there are still winter driving conditions out there. Please leave extra distance between you and the car in front of you, and be sure to drive defensively.
