Report of possible luring attempt

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a possible attempted luring in southwest Calgary.

It was reported that around 3:45 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, an eight-year-old girl was walking in the 200 block of Shawnessy Dr. S.W., when she was approached by a man driving a dark-coloured van.

The man allegedly asked her to get into the van. The girl ran home and told her mother, who called police.

The man was described as wearing a long-sleeved, dark blue top, dark red jeans, as well as something covering his face.
