Police Make Another Large Meth Seizure

The Calgary Police Service has made another significant seizure of cash and methamphetamine.

On Thursday, Sept. 26 and Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, the CPS Guns and Gangs Unit and Gang Enforcement Team wrapped up a drug trafficking operation.

With assistance from the RCMP, warrants were executed at a home in Chestermere, as well as at a storage locker in Calgary. An additional warrant was executed on a vehicle on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.

As a result of the warrants, approximately 2.1 kilograms of methamphetamine was seized, along with packaging materials and $13,000 in cash. The total street value of the methamphetamine is $210,000.

Hung Binh THAI, 29, of Chestermere, who also goes by the name Tony THAI, is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. He was arrested at his Chestermere home.
