Platform Extension at University CTrain Station Complete
Following six months of construction, the platform extension at University Station is now complete. This extension is necessary to accommodate future four-car CTrains. The new platform, emergency exit ramp and emergency exit stairs opened to the public today, Friday, Dec. 13 at 4 a.m.
“The extension of University Station platform brings us one step closer to four cars trains,” said Councillor Druh Farrell. “Moving to four car trains will help us meet the heavy demand for public transit in Calgary”.
Construction at University Station began on June 25, 2013. Calgary Transit thanks all customers, area residents and businesses for their understanding and patience during this time.
