Peigan Trail East open to motorists

A new connection in the southeast roadway network is now open to Calgarians.  Two lanes of traffic on Peigan Trail are open to motorists between 52 Street S.E. and 84 Street S.E. 

 

This first stage of the Peigan Trail Extension project provides a two-lane connection between 52 Street S.E. and 84 Street S.E., allowing better access to north-south connectors.. This is a project milestone towards completing the ultimate configuration which will  include four lanes of traffic  from 52 Street S.E. to Stoney Trail S.E. and merge ramps at the northwest and southwest intersection corners of Peigan Trail and 52 Street S.E.

 

Construction began in July 2012 and completion of the project is expected by fall 2013 to coincide with the opening of the southeast section of Stoney Trail.
