Late-night Shooting Investigation Continues

The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate a late-night shooting in northeast Calgary.

At approximately 10 p.m., on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, Calgary police received multiple calls of shots being fired. Officers arrived on scene in the 5200 block of 4 Street N.E. to find an abandoned Toyota Celica with bullet holes. It is believed two people were seen leaving the scene prior to police arriving.

Two vehicles were initially together leaving the parking lot of the Denny’s on McKnight Boulevard. Shots were fired from a Black Toyota Tundra. The truck then fled south on Edmonton Trail and west on McKnight Boulevard.

Police do not believe this was a random incident.
