Homicide Crime Stoppers re-enactment

A Crime Stoppers re-enactment will take place at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, to encourage members of the public to come forward with information relating to a homicide that occurred in August. One individual has been charged, however police believe two additional males were directly involved in this incident.

On Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at approximately 9 p.m., police responded to the 7000 block of California Blvd N.E. for reports of a man found injured on a driveway. The victim was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

Following an autopsy on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, the victim was formally identified as 27-year-old David QUACH. QUACH died as a result of a shooting.

On Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, police formally charged Said Raed ABDULBAKI, 20, of Calgary with second-degree murder.

This incident is not thought to be random.

A vehicle with two males believed to be directly involved in this incident was seen in the area at the time of the homicide. The vehicle is described as a silver older-model compact car with a black driver’s side door.

Police are hoping that one or more witnesses or people with information about this incident will come forward and assist police.
