Homicide arrest

The Calgary Police Service has arrested one man in connection with the city's fifth homicide of 2013.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., on Sunday, March 17, 2013, police responded to an altercation near 4 Street S.E. and Dermot Baldwin Way. Officers discovered an unconscious man suffering from stab wounds. John Gordon WALMSLEY, 42, of Calgary, was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition and later died from his injuries.

Following an investigation by the CPS Homicide Unit, one man was arrested in Edmonton on Friday, March 22, 2013.

He is currently being interviewed by detectives. No further information is available.
