Crowchild Trail overnight closures – July 15 and 16

Crowchild Trail will be closed overnight July 15 and 16, one way each night. The road will be closed so crews can pour concrete for the bridge decks on the newly installed pedestrian bridges. These bridges link the new Tuscany CTrain station with the Park and Ride lots for the NW CTrain extension. Traffic will be detoured around the closure. Please view the detour maps here.

Timeline
  • On July 15, Crowchild Trail travelling east will be closed from 12 Mile Coulee Road to Stoney Trail from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • On July 16, Crowchild Trail travelling west will be closed from Stoney Trail to 12 Mile Coulee Road from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The structure of the new CTrain station, called Tuscany Station, is now clearly visible in the median of Crowchild Trail. Construction has now started on the Park and Ride lots. The CTrain extension will serve the communities of Tuscany, Rocky Ridge and Royal Oak. The project is on track to open for transit users in fall 2014.
