City Crews Continue Reponse to Snow

With forecasts predicting 2 to 3 centimetres of snow over night, The City of Calgary has instead been blanketed with almost 10 centimetres of snow.

City crews have been working hard through the night clearing snow from inbound routes for this morning's commute. Winter driving conditions are in place for The City of Calgary. That means blowing snow, slushy, snow covered (possibly icy) lanes. Conditions vary throughout the city.

Drivers are reminded to drive according to the conditions: plan on your regular commute taking more time than usual.

The City of Calgary will provide additional updates at the morning progresses. Forecasters are saying the bulk of snow has passed Calgary, so conditions should improve for this afternoon's commute as City crews make progress. Parking bans are not expected at this time.
