City advises to avoid driving: use alternative forms of transportation

Due to the CP Rail/Bonnybrook rail incident and resulting road closures citizens are being asked to stay off city thoroughfares unless absolutely necessary. The City of Calgary is strongly suggesting employers ask employees stay at home unless they are key to operations.

Traffic congestion is hampering efforts for emergency responders as well as recovery clean-up operations. The City of Calgary wants to ensure citizens are safe and able to return home and to their business as soon as possible, and thank you for your patience.
