Charges Laid in Voyeurism Case

The Calgary Police Service has charged an individual in relation to an alleged voyeurism case.

On Monday, June 2, 2014, between 12:10 p.m. and 12:35 p.m., a man rode the CTrain into the downtown core from Shawnessy Station. While on the train, he sat next to a woman who was standing. At that time he was observed to be allegedly using a mobile electronic device with a built-in camera to record images under the dress of the victim.

A witness subsequently made the victim aware, who then confronted the man. Once confronted, he ran from the CTrain at City Hall Station.

On Thursday, July 10, 2014, CPS charged Alfred Brian MARTINEZ, 27, of Calgary, with one count of voyeurism.

CPS would like to thank Calgary Transit, the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation.
