Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for March 8, 2013

Special Events

Macleod Trail S.E. between 9 Avenue S.E. and 7 Avenue S.E., will have a single lane closed, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, from Thursday, March 14 to Friday, March 15, for The City of Calgary’s Animal/Bylaw Safety Expo 2013.

Southeast
17 Avenue S.E. at 60 Street S.E., will have various lane closures, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, on Monday, March 11 until Friday, March 15, for traffic signal installation.

68 Street S.E. between 106 Avenue S.E. and 108 Avenue S.E. will have all traffic shifted to an adjacent detour road on the east side of existing roadway, to allow for utility installations and surface upgrades, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The speed limit on the temporary detour road will be reduced to 30 km/h. This stage of development is expected to last for approximately 30 days. Updates will be supplied as project progresses.

Southbound 36 Street S.E. between 23 Avenue S.E. and 26 Avenue S.E., will be closed, from 9 a.m. on Friday, March 8 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, for water services.

Centre Street between 6 Avenue S. and 5 Avenue S., will be closed, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 9, for construction. Transit access only will be allowed.

Southwest
Westbound 61 Avenue S.W., between Centre Street South and 1A Street S.W., will be closed for two weeks starting at 9 a.m. Monday, March 4 to facilitate Chinook LRT Station construction. North and southbound drivers are advised to use 58 Avenue S.W. to travel west from this area.

8 Street S.W. between 4 Avenue S.W. and 5 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, for utilities installation.

16 Street S.W. between 38 Avenue S.W. and 40 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 7 p.m. Friday, March 8 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 10, for the installation of an underground utility.

5 Avenue S.W. between 8 Street S.W. and 9 Street S.W., the left lane will be closed, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 8, for utilities installation.

12 Avenue S.W. between 8 street S.W. and 9 Street S.W., will have two left lanes closed, from 6 p.m. Friday, March 8 until 7 p.m., Sunday, March 10, for construction.

16 Street S.W. between 38 Avenue S.W. and 40 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 6 p.m. Friday, March 8 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 10, for utility installation.

1 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 10 until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, March 11, for construction.

1 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. daily, from Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15, for construction.

Northwest
Bowness Road N.W. between 60 Street N.W. and 61 Street N.W., will be closed, from 9 a.m. on Friday, March 8 to Sunday, March 10 for 6 p.m., for water services.

10 Street N.W. bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, for construction.

Westbound Parkdale Boulevard between 30 Street N.W. and 31 Street N.W., will be reduced to one lane, from 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, for construction.

Northeast
12 Avenue N.E. between 4 Street N.E. and 2 Street N.E., will be closed, between 9 a.m. Friday, March 8 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, for water services.
