Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for March 5, 2013

Southeast
Starting on March 4 and 5, the eastbound left lane of 17 Avenue S.E. at 60 Street S.E. will be closed.  After which the closure will revert back to only the westbound right lane of 17 Avenue S.E. at 60 Street S.E. for March 6, 7 and 8. Drivers should use caution when passing crews.
 
Southbound closure of 52 Street S.E. between 90 Avenue S.E. and 94 Avenue S.E., including one northbound lane, starting Friday, March 1 at 7 a.m. and remaining closed until 6 p.m. Thursday, March 7, for utility work. Detours will be posted – drivers are advised to use Barlow Trail South.  
 
68 Street S.E. between 106 Avenue S.E. and 108 Avenue S.E. will have all traffic shifted to an adjacent detour road on the east side of existing roadway, to allow for utility installations and surface upgrades, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The speed limit on the temporary detour road will be reduced to 30 km/h. This stage of development is expected to last for approximately 30 days. Updates will be supplied as the project progresses.
  
Southwest
Westbound 61 Avenue S.W., between Centre Street South and 1A Street S.W., will be closed for two weeks starting at 9 a.m. Monday, March 4 to facilitate Chinook LRT Station construction. North and southbound drivers are advised to use 58 Avenue S.W. to travel west from this area.
 
8 Street S.W. between 4 Avenue S.W. and 5 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, for utilities installation.
 
16 Street S.W. between 38 Avenue S.W. and 40 Avenue S.W., will be closed, from 7 p.m. Friday, March 8 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 10, for the installation of an underground utility.
