Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for March 25, 2013
Northwest
24 Avenue N.W. between 14 Street N.W. and 15 Street N.W., will be closed, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, from Saturday, March 23 to Wednesday, March 27, for emergency water main replacement.
Northeast
Northbound 36 Street N.E. between 16 Avenue N.E. and 17 Avenue N.E., will have one lane closed, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, from Monday, March 25 to Friday, March 29, for construction.

Eastbound Memorial Drive at 36 Street S.E., will be reduced to one lane, from 9 a.m. Monday, March 25 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28, for construction.

Inverness Gate at Promenade Way will be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday, March 23 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, for emergency water services repairs. Southbound traffic will be directed to High Street to bypass the construction.
Westbound Highway 22X, will shift to the eastbound lane at the McKenzie Lake Boulevard S.E. and Cranston Boulevard S.E. intersection until Chaparral Boulevard S.E. and Sun Valley Boulevard S.E., anticipated from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, March 25 until Wednesday, March 27, for bridge construction.
21 Avenue between 11 Street S.E. to 9 Street S.E. , will be closed, from 6 a.m., Saturday, March 23 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 25, for water services infrastructure upgrade. Traffic will be detoured to 20 Avenue S.E. to bypass the construction.
68 Street S.E. between 106 Avenue S.E. and 108 Avenue S.E. will have all traffic shifted to an adjacent detour road on the east side of existing roadway, to allow for utility installations and surface upgrades, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The speed limit on the temporary detour road will be reduced to 30 km/h. This stage of development is expected to last for approximately 30 days. Updates will be supplied as project progresses.

- Temporary roadway restrictions: Southbound 7 Street S.W., between 5 Avenue and 6 Avenue, during the week of March 25, will have various single traffic lane closures and temporary parking restrictions between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily. The locations of these closures and restrictions will change as work progresses. In addition, 4 Avenue S.W., approaching 7 Street S.W. will have single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily during this same time period.
- Temporary roadway closure: Northbound and southbound 7 Street S.W. will temporarily close between 4 Avenue S.W. and the north alley on Wednesday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Thursday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. This temporary full road closure is necessary to install a new utility duct. Crosswalks and sidewalks in the area will remain open and pedestrian access will be maintained. The alleys will also remain open. Local traffic on this block, can access 7 Street S.W., from 3 Avenue S.W., by using 6 Street S.W. or 8 Street S.W.
The three left lanes will be closed on westbound 6 Avenue S.W. at 2 Street S.W. In addition, the two left lanes will be closed on northbound 2 Street S.W. from 9 p.m. Monday, March 25 to 5 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, to allow for water service utility upgrades. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected.
17 Avenue S.W. between 2 Street S.W. and 4 Street S.W., will be reduced to one lane in each direction, from 9 p.m. Monday, March 25 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, to allow for water service utility upgrades. All traffic will be directed to the south side of 17 Avenue S.W., as crews will be working in the existing westbound lanes. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected.
The left lanes will be closed on all 4 approaches to the intersection of 10 Avenue S.W. at 1 Street S.W. from 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, to allow for water service utility upgrades. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected.
The 3 right lanes will be closed on westbound 6 Avenue S.W. at 7 Street S.W. and the right lane will be closed on southbound 7 Street S.W. at 6 Avenue S.W. from 11 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, to allow for water service utility upgrades. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected.
