Calgary road closures and lane restrictions for March 18, 2013
Southeast
68 Street S.E. between 106 Avenue S.E. and 108 Avenue S.E. will have all traffic shifted to an adjacent detour road on the east side of existing roadway, to allow for utility installations and surface upgrades, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The speed limit on the temporary detour road will be reduced to 30 km/h. This stage of development is expected to last for approximately 30 days. Updates will be supplied as project progresses.

Southbound 36 Street S.E. at 26 Avenue S.E. is closed, and the northbound left lane is closed, from 9 a.m. Friday, March 15 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, for utilities.
Deerfoot Trail S.E. traffic north and southbound, will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Highway 22X and Cranston Avenue/Seton Boulevard S.E. The left lanes in both directions will be closed and speed will be reduced for safety of travelers and workers, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily, from Tuesday, March 19 to Wednesday, March 20, for bridge construction.

Southbound 9 Street N.E. south of McPherson Road N.E., will be closed, from Wednesday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for construction.

Southwest
33 Avenue S.W. between 19 Street S.W. and 20 Street S.W., will be closed, from 2 p.m. Friday, March 15 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 18, for emergency water repair.

7 Street S.W., at the intersections of 4 Avenue and 5 Avenue, The City is scheduled to install underground utilities from Saturday, March 16, to Tuesday, March 26.
- Monday, March 18 to Friday, March 22 and on Monday, March 26
7 Street S.W., between 4 Avenue and 6 Avenue, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, will have single lane closures and sidewalk restrictions adjacent to construction zones. These closures will change locations as work progresses. The temporary closures are necessary to provide room for the utility work at 4 and 5 Avenues S.W. Daily, after 3 p.m., roads and sidewalks will reopen to public use, however, Parking will be restricted in the area to facilitate construction materials equipment and work. Public parking will be returned to normal as quickly as possible. - Tuesday, March 19 to Wednesday, March 20
The parking lane on northbound 7 Street S.W. between 3 Avenue S.W. and 4 Avenue S.W. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. will be closed for approximately 20 metres north of 4 Avenue to accommodate signal work. Curb lanes will be reduced at 4 Avenue at 7 Street during this time as well. The crosswalk on the east side of 7 Street at 4 Avenue may be closed periodically, otherwise pedestrian access will be maintained. - Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24
7 Street S.W., between 4 Avenue S.W. and 6 Avenue S.W., is scheduled to close between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. This closure is necessary to prepare the roadway and sidewalk areas at 5 Avenue S.W. for the new traffic signal poles. Sidewalks will be narrowed in some areas, but pedestrians will still have access through the construction zones. - This construction is weather dependent and may be rescheduled pending conditions. Utility work at the intersections of 6, 7 and 8 Avenues will begin as the work at 4 and 5 Avenues is completed. More information on these impacts will be available once the schedule is confirmed. This work is part of the 7 Street S.W. cycle track installation. More information about this project can be found on calgay.ca.
