Calgary Road Runners Club – St. Patrick’s day Road Race
The following road closures and lane restrictions will be in place to facilitate the Calgary Road runners Club St. Patrick’s day 5 k/10k Road Race between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 17.

- 21 Street S.W. will be closed between 50 Avenue S.W. and 58 Avenue S.W.
- 19 Street S.W. will be closed between 50 Avenue S.W. and 58 Avenue S.W.
- Eastbound 50 Avenue S.W. between 20 Street S.W. and 14a Street S.W., will be reduced to one lane.
Southeast
Northbound 84 Street S.E. at 50 Avenue S.E., will have a right lane closed and the speed will be reduced to 50 km/hr. Flag-man set-up will be in affect during this time. This work will start from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 for utilities.

68 Street S.E. between 106 Avenue S.E. and 108 Avenue S.E. will have all traffic shifted to an adjacent detour road on the east side of existing roadway, to allow for utility installations and surface upgrades, starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The speed limit on the temporary detour road will be reduced to 30 km/h. This stage of development is expected to last for approximately 30 days. Updates will be supplied as project progresses.
Highway 22X at Chaparral Boulevard S.E. and Sun Valley Boulevard, various lane closures, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday, March 11 to Saturday, March 16, for transportation of materials for the new bridge.
Southbound 36 Street S.E. between 23 Avenue S.E. and 26 Avenue S.E. will be closed, from 9 a.m. Friday, March 15 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 17, for utilities.

10 Street N.W. at Memorial Drive N.W., will be reduced to one lane in each direction, for 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, for construction.

12 Avenue N.E. between 1 Street N.E. and 2 Street N.E. will be closed, from 9 a.m. Friday, March 15 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 17, for water utility work.

14 street S.W. between 16 Avenue S.W. and 17 Avenue S.W. will be closed, from 7 p.m. Friday, March 15 until 5 a.m. Monday, March 18, for installation of underground utilities.
Westbound 61 Avenue S.W., between Centre Street South and 1A Street S.W., will be closed for two weeks starting at 9 a.m. Monday, March 4 to facilitate Chinook LRT Station construction. North and southbound drivers are advised to use 58 Avenue S.W. to travel west from this area.

7 Street S.W., at the intersections of 4 Avenue and 5 Avenue, The City is scheduled to install underground utilities from Saturday, March 16, to Tuesday, March 26.

7 Street S.W., between 4 Avenue and 6 Avenue, is scheduled to close between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. This closure is necessary to prepare the roadway and sidewalk areas at 5 Avenue S.W. for the new traffic signal poles. Sidewalks will be narrowed in some areas, but pedestrians will still have access through the construction zones. - Monday, March 18 to Friday, March 22 and on Monday, March 26
7 Street S.W., between 4 Avenue and 6 Avenue, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, will have single lane closures and sidewalk restrictions adjacent to construction zones. These closures will change locations as work progresses. The temporary closures are necessary to provide room for the utility work at 4 and 5 Avenues S.W. Daily, after 3 p.m., roads and sidewalks will reopen to public use, however, Parking will be restricted in the area to facilitate construction materials equipment and work. Public parking will be returned to normal as quickly as possible. - Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24
7 Street S.W., between 4 Avenue S.W. and 6 Avenue S.W., is scheduled to close between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. This closure is necessary to prepare the roadway and sidewalk areas at 5 Avenue S.W. for the new traffic signal poles. Sidewalks will be narrowed in some areas, but pedestrians will still have access through the construction zones. - This construction is weather dependent and may be rescheduled pending conditions. Utility work at the intersections of 6, 7 and 8 Avenues will begin as the work at 4 and 5 Avenues is completed. More information on these impacts will be available once the schedule is confirmed.
